| President Bush Announces Intention to Nominate Director of Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services President George Bush announced his intention to designate Eduardo Aguirre, Jr. to be Acting Director of the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Service at the Department of Homeland Security. Mr. Aguirre of Texas is currently the Vice Chairman and First Vice President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. Prior to holding this post, Mr. Aguirre worked for Bank of America, participating in many corporate-wide leadership initiatives, and served on the board of regents for the University of Houston System for a six-year term (having been appointed by then Governor Bush). The Supreme Court of Texas also appointed him to the State Bar as a non-attorney director. A certified commercial lender, Mr. Aguirre is a graduate of Louisiana State University and the American Bankers Association's National Commercial Lending Graduate School |
