| USCIS Issues Fee Exemption Clarification for I-601 Waivers The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has recently issued a reminder that a fee payment for I-601 waiver applications is required. This reminder was announced due to a number of I-601 waiver applications being received by the USCIS without fee payments. According to the USCIS, immigration regulations provided a fee exemption for certain Vietnamese, Laotian and Cambodian parolees filing their applications prior to October 28, 1983. As a result, this particular fee exemption is no longer available, and all I-601 waiver applicants are reminded that the current filing fee is $545. |
