|DHS Announces Repatriation of 103 Pakistanis
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has repatriated 103 Pakistani nationals who were not in lawful status in the United States. According to ICE, these individuals had exhausted their legal avenues of appeal and with the cooperation of the Government of Pakistan, the individuals were flown by chartered aircraft to Islamabad.
ICE noted that the repatriation was the fourth in collaboration with Pakistan in the past year, with approximately 500 individuals being returned to Pakistan as a result. Other recent repatriation operations included flights to Cambodia, El Salvador, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Nigeria and the Philippines.
