| State Department Spokesman Reports Consulate Post Closures During a press briefing on March 20, U.S. Department of State Spokesman Richard Boucher stated that approximately 14 embassies and consular posts in 14 countries have been closed on a short-term basis. More Expansion of Definition of "Immediate Relatives" Is Finalized The State Department has finalized regulations expanding the definition of "immediate relative" to include widows and children of victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. More Worldwide Public Announcement Issued by State Department The U.S. Department of State has issued a Middle East and North Africa, and worldwide public announcements alerting Americans to an increased potential for anti-American violence. More Consulate Employees Plead Guilty to Conspiracy to Commit Visa Fraud The U.S. Department of Justice has announced that four former employees at the U.S. Consulate in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico have pled guilty to conspiracy to commit visa fraud. More DHS Announces Repatriation of 103 Pakistanis The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that the Bureau of Immigration and customs Enforcement (ICE) has repatriated 103 Pakistani nationals who were not in lawful status in the United States.
